Use this guide to set up the correct user roles and permissions needed for your integration with Ascend.
Following these steps ensures Ascend can connect securely and perform the required automation tasks.
Use this guide to set up the correct user roles and permissions needed for your integration with Ascend.
Following these steps ensures Ascend can connect securely and perform the required automation tasks.
1. Create a New User
Open the
Broker Admintab.Go to
Users.From the
Tasksdropdown, chooseAdd User.Fill out the required fields.
Share the login information with your Ascend contact so our team can complete the technical connection.
2. Assign the Correct Roles
Each role provides specific permissions needed for Ascend to function properly.
Please follow each section carefully and make sure all listed boxes are checked.
Role 1: Broker
Click
Add Roleand chooseBroker.Enable the following permissions:
[ ] Access Plan Updates
[ ] Account Service
[ ] Plans: Commission Start Date Edit
[ ] Product Service
[ ] All Regions & Office/Location(s)
Click
Saveto confirm.
Role 2: Broker Admin
Go to
Configure→Add Role→ selectBroker Admin.Enable the following permissions:
[ ] Edit Carrier List
[ ] Global Changes
[ ] Setup Service
[ ] User Service
[ ] All Regions & Office/Location(s)
Click
Saveto confirm.
Role 3: RTM Admin
Under
Add Role, selectRTM Admin.Enable the following permissions:
[ ] Revenue Tracking and Management Service
[ ] Statements: Unpost
[ ] Use BenefitPoint Statement Management
[ ] View/Edit All Statements
[ ] Void and Revise Statements
[ ] All Regions & Office/Location(s)
Click
Saveto confirm.
3. Final Check
Once all roles are assigned:
Confirm the user account has access to all regions and offices.
Let your Ascend Implementation Manager know the setup is complete.
